Student Rights
Every student Receiving care in the Student Health Center has the right:
- To have confidentiality of all medical records.
- To know why they are being treated and what their alternatives are.
- To be a partner in any decisions made regarding their treatment.
- To ask for additional information on any aspect of their condition or treatment.
- To refuse any treatment, lab, x-ray or medication that is unclear to them.
- To seek a second opinion.
- To be treated professionally and courteously by all Student Health Center staff.
- To expect health care providers to be cost conscious in treatment and diagnostic alternatives.
- To receive an explanation of any charges that may be made.
- To speak with the director any time there are concerns with any of the above.
