How To... Access UTD Bulletin Boards

These are the instructions for accessing UTD bulletin boards through IMAP on Galaxy.

Check your UTD E-mail account through Galaxy. See How To Check E-mail Using Galaxy for more information on how to do so.
Click on the Subscribe link located right under the Folders section.
Click on the horizontal arrow located next to Shared_Folders to expand the directory.
Note: You will not be able to subscribe to any folder that has a bold letter P on it. However, you can click on an arrow to expand that particular folder and see which of its sub-folders you may be able to subscribe to.
To subscribe to a particular bulletin board, you must click on it and make sure that there is NOT a bold letter P on it.

Create a UTD IMAP email account in Outlook. See How To Access UTD E-mail Using an IMAP Client for more information on how to do so.
Click on your IMAP Inbox to highlight it. Click on the Tools menu, then on IMAP Folders.
Click on the Query button. This will load a list of the Shared_Folders.
Scroll through the list until you find a bulletin board where you want to read messages. Click on the bulletin board to highlight it. Click on the Subscribe button, then on the OK button. The folder(s) will be displayed in your Folder List.
Note: Multiple bulletin boards can be selected by using Ctrl-Clicks.
To read the bulletin board, click on the bulletin board in the Shared_Folders list.
