Student organizations play an important role in campus life at UT Dallas. Throughout the year, organizations sponsor a variety of activities for the campus, as well as participate in service projects around the community.
In addition, student organizations provide a way for students to develop and refine leadership skills and to interact and network with their peers and with faculty and staff.
The Student Organization Forum is the official representative body of registered student organizations. The primary functions are:
- Oversee the allocation of funds to registered student organizations
- Manage the communication of University-wide policies to student organization officers
- Encourage and promote student participation in University activities
- Provide leadership development and promote growth opportunities to student organization members
- Advise and recommend on student organization issues
- Disseminate and exchange information among organization

Student Leadership Awards Reception
UT Dallas' most outstanding student leaders are honored yearly by the Student Organization Forum. Awards are given to four individuals, two organizations and one faculty adviser for their devotion, service and contributions on behalf of the University. read more
Student Organization Forum Leadership Camp
Become a better communicator and learn leadership skills at the SOF Leadership Camp on Friday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Richardson Women's Club.
Buses will depart from campus. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
Student organization members can sign up at a SOF orientation or meeting or by emailing Shikha Gupta.
