The INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SPECIAL SERVICES FEE is used for the ongoing support of all students who are not U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents, and in accord with federal regulations. It is a mandatory fee for those students and is assessed at the time of registration. Any of those students whose status changes to the classification of US Citizen or Permanent Resident is required to submit proof of the change to the UTD Registrar’s Office and International Student Services Office and will not, subsequently, be assessed the fee. If the appropriate documentation is submitted prior to Census day of a semester, the fee for that semester will be refunded based on the tuition refund schedule as published in the UTD Academic Calendar.
